Founded in 1999 to kick some life into Peterborough's then almost non-existent live music scene, Club With No Name continues its 10 year birthday celebrations when it returns to The Met Lounge (59, Bridge Street, Peterborough) on Friday 27 November with a special one off show featuring one of the UK punk scene's favourite and most notorious live acts, SICK ON THE BUS.
With four albums and numerous tours of Europe, the States and the Far East under their studded belts, the band hit Peterborough to celebrate the release of their split single this month with local punk legends THE DESTRUCTORS, who will also be appearing at the show.
Support comes from THE OFFLIGHT, an off-kilter punk band which features former members of Evil Macaroni, 98 High and Cheryl Lee and "sounds like a mix of Belinda Carlisle with a real drummer." Another support act is to be confirmed.
The SOTB / Destructors split single (which is actually a six track cd!), on Rowdy Farago Records, will be available on the night.
The average admission to CWNN is £4. Club membership - which you can apply for free on the door - entitles you to regular reduced admission prices. Reductions are also available with promotional fliers. Over-16s are welcome at CWNN with proof of age.
