MY VITRIOL

24th August 2000
My Vitriol thumb nailHeavily hyped by the music press, My Vitriol (England's very own answer to the mighty Foo Fighters), were playing at The Park in Peterborough, a warm-up gig to the forthcoming Reading Festival, which for them was only a couple of days away.

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity My Vitriol finally took the stage. Their late arrival didn't of course detract the 200 plus crowd who gave them a rousing reception as soon as they mooched out onto the stage.

Giving no acknowledgement to the floor, they flew straight into "Tongue Tied", a purely instrumental track, with heavily driven guitar and bass sound.

Performing a very tight 40 minute set which included their debut single "Always Your Way", their summer release and MTV2 favourite "Cement Shoes" (which went down a storm), and their forthcoming single "Pieces", My Vitriol exceeded everybody's expectations.

My Vitriol put in a very powerful set, and with no shadow of a doubt will be surely welcomed back to The Park.
